Dan's journey in sound began with music, having picked up the guitar at age 11. During his Music Technology degree at Birmingham Conservatoire, Dan discovered sound for the moving image and pursued a career in audio post-production upon graduating.
Over the ensuing 12 years, Dan's career has spanned areas such as sound design, mixing, voice recording, and performance capture technology, culminating in Head of Department roles at a couple of other facilities. Dan joined Factory as Transfer Manager in 2025, putting his passion for managing people, processes and tech to use.
Outside of work, Dan is a keen musician, playing guitar in a wide variety of projects, from Blues to Death metal, and many points in between. He also has a passion for collecting vinyl records, and, weather permitting, exploring the scenery of the Kent coast.
From a young age, Alex developed a passion for music, initially playing the guitar but thereafter, becoming a multi-instrumentalist, writing and touring with his band throughout his teenage years.
This interest in music and audio led to the acquisition of a 1st class honours in a Music Production and Sound Engineering degree in Bristol. Here he discovered an aptitude for all things sound design (the idyllic marriage of both his love of film and audio) and has since been practising the craft as a freelancer, before joining the Factory family as Head Runner.
In his free time, Alex enjoys mountain biking, painting and illustrating, writing original compositions and indulging in the delights of London’s rich live music scene.

Harry’s passion for audio was sparked when he came across the Foley team crafting the sound effects for A Quiet Place.
This led him to pursue a degree in Media Production with a focus on audio, where he graduated with 1st class honours.
Since then, he has spent four years building his career in the industry, before joining Factory as a Transfer Engineer in 2024.
In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf and football but definitely isn’t as good as he thinks he is.

Something new and exciting to dive into, and potentially turning it into a career for himself.
Alex joined Factory in 2022 as a Runner and has worked his way into the Transfer Team, becoming a Junior Transfer Engineer, constantly learning, and pursuing the role of a Sound Engineer.
In his spare time, Alex enjoys writing music and performing live with his band, playing Golf, and hanging out with friends and family.
